Terms and refunds
Last updated 23 October 2026
Who you are dealing with
Testpit is run by Testpit Software Ltd., an Alberta corporation. You can reach us at info@testpit.ca or 780-851-6955.
What you can buy
- Pay as you go: one permit package for one job, paid when the package is produced.
- A subscription for the season, base or unlimited.
- A founding seat for the 2027 season.
- The design desk: we prepare the package for you from your test pit and lab result.
Every price is on the price list, in Canadian dollars, with GST added. You pay in full at purchase. Card payments are taken by Stripe; we never see or keep your card number. Subscriptions and founding seats are invoiced.
What a package is, and is not
Testpit prepares the package a plan reviewer reads. It does not approve anything and it does not guarantee a permit. A safety codes officer decides the permit. The design remains the responsibility of the certified designer who reviews and signs it, and every package says so.
Refunds
- If a package is wrong because of a fault in Testpit, we fix it at no charge, or refund it in full if you would rather.
- A package you paid for and never used is refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of paying. Never used means it was not printed and its permit application was not downloaded. Once either has happened, the package has been used and is not refunded.
- A subscription or founding seat can be cancelled at any time. It runs to the end of the season you paid for; the part of a season already started is not refunded.
- Design desk work already started is not refunded; laboratory fees are passed through at cost and are not refundable.
To ask for a refund, write to info@testpit.ca with the job's legal land description. A card refund goes back to the same card and takes 5 to 10 business days to appear.
Your designs
Your designs are yours. You can export them at any time, and they stay yours if you stop using Testpit.
Our responsibility
Our total responsibility to you for any package or season is limited to what you paid us for it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and Canada.
